BEHIND THE STORIES

Ordinary people.
Complicated emotions.

I started writing during engineering, between 2012 and 2016. At first it was poems and quotes. Soon I was writing down almost anything I felt or noticed, in notebooks, on my phone, and on my laptop.

When I moved to Bengaluru, the habit stayed with me. I kept writing poems, and for a few years I even used my Skype status as a small place to put up something new every day. I kept doing that until Microsoft Teams eventually replaced Skype.

I thought about writing stories during those years too. I wrote a few drafts, but I never really finished them. During my master’s, I finally had the time and interest to sit with a story long enough to complete it. That is when I wrote my first story, Where Are You?, followed by Tears, and then many more.

I still write from the same place. From things I feel, see, hear, remember, and experience. The stories on DipStory are fiction, but they are very close to me.

With thanks

To my family and friends, thank you for reading early drafts, giving honest feedback, and pushing me to keep writing.

Thank you for the constant feedback, motivation, patience, and criticism. You have been my motivators and my favourite critics. I am forever thankful.
